Northern Arizona University (NAU) is a public research universitybased in Flagstaff, Arizona. It was founded in 1899, making it the final public university established in the Arizona Territory, 13 years before Arizona was admitted as the 48th state. NAU offers more than 170 different bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs, which are also accessible at more than 20 statewide locations and online. It has a total undergraduate enrollment of 24,168 (fall 2021) and utilizes a semester-based academic calendar.
